{Megan & Charlie :: A Hyalite Wedding}

I'm really excited to finally show everyone these pictures! I gave a sneak peek a long time ago, but now there's a lot more to enjoy. This was probably my favorite wedding ever. First, Megan and Charlie are dear friends of mine, second, it was one of the most gorgeous days of summer, and last, it was such a wonderful wedding. Megan is an amazing graphic designer, so the details and decorations were perfect. Charlie is a very talented photographer, so he and Megan were so natural in front of the camera. The ceremony overlooked Hyalite and the reception was was underneath a beautiful sunset. It was simply perfect. Megan and Charlie are so in love, and it was apparent all throughout the day. I was so honored to document this special day for them, and I wish them the best of luck for their future together! Love you guys!

This is Jessie. I took his senior pictures this last fall. It was such a great experience, because he lives on a ranch and wanted to take his pictures with his horse. It turned out to be a beautiful day, and I got some great shots of him with his horse. Thanks Jessie!

This is Henley & Casey. I took their engagement pictures last August, and I had a BLAST! I've known Henley since 2nd grade. We went to grade school together in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and have been friends ever since. I'm so excited that she has found such a wonderful guy, and I can't wait to go to their wedding in Jackson in July. They are getting married at the top of the gondola which over looks the valley, and is so beautiful. Congrats you two!

I know that everyone has been waiting for more pictures from this past summer...so here we go!

These pictures are from Katie & Jed's beautiful wedding at the Woodlands. When I arrived at the wedding it was just slightly overcast, but still nice out. Then, about two hours later, right before the ceremony, it started pouring rain. Welcome to Montana. :) The couple was pretty bummed, but everyone helped out and they pulled together a wonderful ceremony inside. These guys have such a great group of friends and family, and everyone helped to make their day very special. They were so easy going, and I had a blast getting to know them! I know that I have been terrible about blogging this summer! I've been super busy as always :) A few weekends ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph my dear friends, Megan and Charlie Eubank's, wedding. I pulled these few pictures out for a competition, so I figured that I would share them with all of you and give you a glimpse of what I've been doing this summer. Well, this summer has been super busy! It's going by so fast; however, a couple of weeks ago I had a chance to go to Helena with my boyfriend to visit his family for the weekend. His niece and nephew where up from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and I had the opportunity to grab some pictures of them. They are so funny, and full of energy. I love these pictures because they show Abby and Ryan's personality to the T. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do...

Meet Baby Skylyn! I had a great opportunity to photograph my cousin's new baby girl just 4 days after she was born. She is so little and fragile with a full head of hair. Skylyn is Nikki and Chad's first baby, and I know that they are very happy and tired parents :) Congratulations Nikki and Chad, and thanks for letting me photograph your new little one!

{Graduation}

I know it has been a while since I've blogged, but I have some old but exciting news! I finally graduated! I now have two degrees from Montana State University-one in Graphic Design, and one in Photography. The ceremony was back in May, but I had a ton of friends and family there to support me and celebrate with me. It feels so great to be done, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Here is a picture of me after the ceremony :)

Meet Bethany and Jayson. I had a blast photographing their engagement photos. They took me way up on Sheep Mountain outside of Helena, Montana. We did some rock climbing and off-roading in a jeep. It was quite the adventure! They are such a cute couple and I can't wait to photograph their wedding on June 21, 2008.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything! I've been really busy with finishing up school (only 4 weeks left...wahoo!) and working on photo projects. {Good Friends::Deidre & Ken}

As I was digging through my photo archives, I came across one of the first weddings I ever photographed. It was for my dear friends Ken and Deidre. I had worked with Ken for 3 years at a local golf course and in this time I became very close with him and his now wife Deidre. I didn't hesitate when they asked me to be their wedding photographer, because they are such fun loving people that always have a good time. They have since moved so Ken could attend culinary school, and they just had a little girl. (Congrats you two!) Their wedding was located at a small cabin outside of Big Timber, Montana. It was a beautiful wedding that truly focused on the love they have for one another. Enjoy!

{Doggies}

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so I thought I would update everyone on what I've been working on. For my senior photo project this semester I've decided to do dog photography. One of my influences has been Anna Kuperberg. She is an amazing dog photographer as well as a wedding/portrait photographer. If you need a laugh click HERE to check out her dog blog. I've always loved dogs, and I feel that they have so much character and life. Capturing this has been my goal with this project. I want to convey each dogs personality and characteristics. This has been a very challenging project, because sometimes the dogs don't always do what I want them to; however, this also adds to their personality. Here are some of my favorites so far.

{The Big Blue}

This is a project that I have been working on in my Advanced Digital class. Our assignment was to create 3 images by photographing a landscape using the 4x5 bellows camera (This is a large camera that allows you to photograph using large negatives). We then had to scan the negatives to create our images. I photographed these pictures in Logan, MT where it is pretty flat and very windy. The sky was perfect this day and I'm very happy with the way these photographs turned out! {Man's Best Friend}

On New Years Day I had the opportunity to photograph a young man named J.R. and his 12 year old dog named Sam. It was a challenging photo shoot because Sam is deaf and couldn't hear us when we were trying to get her attention to look toward the camera. It was an obstacle for all of us, but she did her own thing and that helped to bring out her personality. After a short time she opened up, forgot her age, and began running around like a puppy again. I had a blast photographing the relationship that J.R. and Sam have, and I hope that these photographs will serve as a reminder of that friendship and Sam's spunky spirit for years to come.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Every year I go to Helena with my boyfriend Kurt and spend Christmas with his family. There is always a mixture of chaos and relaxation during the holidays at his parents house. This is because Kurt has two older sisters, Michele and Jamie, and three nieces, Austyn, Ashleigh, and Abby, and one nephew, Ryan. He also has four younger cousins, both sets of grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and family friends that all come up for Christmas Eve. It gets pretty crazy, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I wouldn't be who I am today without the love and support of Kurt and his family. I'm so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life! Here is a glimpse of the kids during the Christmas chaos...Enjoy!!!

Hey There! Well here it is...my first Blog! I can't believe it. Through this, I hope to share my love for photography and design, and keep you updated on my thoughts and my work.
